I am newer to the Chicago area, so working with Dietitians on Demand allowed me to work in a few different hospitals. This way, I am able to get a better understanding of the different neighborhoods and suburbs in the area. I also appreciate the flexibility a job like this offers.

Why did you choose a career in dietetics: I wanted to combine my culinary background with nutrition so I could help people get excited about food and health again. I believe a large part of being healthy is enjoying what you eat, and it’s easier to do that when you know how to make healthy food taste good. I think it’s key to teach people these type of skills. Once I began my internship, I discovered I had a knack for nutrition support and critical care, an area I’m still very passionate about.
