Here at Dietitians On Demand, we love showcasing our awesome dietitians. For the fifth consecutive year, we’re honored to highlight a selection of the dietitians who do a rockin’ job representing Dietitians On Demand.
In 2022, our consultant dietitians worked more than 237,000 hours. We also found out that 95 percent of our clients would request the same dietitian from us again and 98 percent of our employee dietitians would recommend Dietitians On Demand to a friend or colleague.
As a dietitian staffing company that knows dietitians are superheroes, we are thrilled to be able to again provide dietitians with so many unique, flexible and rewarding opportunities to advance their practice and elevate the profession. Here are the 2022 award winners:
Most Unforgettable: Patrice Katz, RD, CDN
Patrice worked for us for over eight years, completing more than 30 contracts. She was up for anything we needed her for and walked into some of the hardest contracts we had ever seen in the midst of COVID. She passed away in May 2022, but she is unforgettable to us here at DOD, her fellow colleagues, and our clients (some of whom still reach out specifically asking for her to return).
It Takes Three, Best Dietitian Trio: Kelly Hays, MS, RD, LD; Christian Scott Stewart, MS, RDN, LDN; and Joslyn Carstensen, MPH, RD, LD
This team got a hospital system in central Florida through a management transition, hurricane Ian, and at one point, they were the only clinical coverage for three hospitals. We are so grateful for their grit and teamwork.
Golden Suitcase Award: Lyncoln Nardo, MS, RD, LD, CNSC
Lyncoln starting traveling for Dietitians On Demand in early 2022 and is now on her third travel assignment this year! Lyncoln was working as an acute care clinical dietitian at a large teaching hospital in Richmond, Va., when travel dietetics peaked her interest. She has been flexible, professional, and adaptable to every assignment, and the clients can vouch for that – she gets rave reviews! She’s worked in Florida, Washington, and California this year, and we are excited to see where she’s off to next! (Bonus: She’s also one of our Subject Matter Experts and help to create blogs and webinars for us!)
Up For Anything Award: Christina Krisciunas, MSW, RD, LD
Christina has consistently worked with us for a year and a half covering three sites. She always receives great client feedback and is asked to stay just a bit longer! Despite how busy she is, Christina always stays committed to her patients and clients. She has a great attitude and works well with anyone she meets.
Best All-Around Dietitian: Marsha Woolery, MPH, RDN, LDN
Marsha has worked for DOD for over a year as a travel RD. She got her start in Odessa, Texas, then went to northern California where she worked as a clinical RD and was quickly promoted to patient services manager. She managed two sites as the patient services manager and has now been promoted to support the client at a national level, helping to open other sites in transition. Marsha has been offered a buyout by the client but wants to remain an employee of DOD. She’s an advocate of DOD in many ways—she even bought her whole family DOD swag!
Most Valuable RD (MVRD): Andrea Lasichak, MS, RD, CDE, LD
Andrea has worked for Dietitians On Demand since 2019 in long-term care, critical care, and older adult outpatient care. When she accepted a full-time contract job earlier in 2022, she wanted to hold on to her PRN position because she felt so passionate about the clinical work and patients. As a result, she worked 1,935 hours with us so far in 2022!
Rock Star Rookie: Logan Tiller, RD
Logan came to us fresh out of his internship, signed a travel contract, passed his RD exam, and relocated from Michigan to Connecticut. He was a rockstar on his assignment and took his next contract with us back in his home state. We can’t wait to watch Logan’s career unfold, and we are so grateful he chose to start with DOD.
Client’s Pick: Paige Lueken, MS, RDN, LDN
Paige has been with DOD since the Fall of 2021. She covered many locations, is very flexible, always says yes, and receives wonderful client feedback about her personality and work ethic. She trained incoming RDs at her facilities to ensure a seamless transition with no interruptions in patient care. Says one of Paige’s clients, “Residents thought that Paige was very nice, pleasant, and helpful in her interactions with them. Thank you so much.”
Most Special Specialist: Sarah Hammaker, RDN
Sarah is one of our Subject Matter Experts and generously shares her long-term care knowledge and expertise, not only with Dietitians On Demand, but with all RDs. In just a year, she has written many blogs, designed several infographics, and presented two live webinars. Sarah has professionally grown so much, and for that, we salute her!
To these eleven dietitians and to all others who have listed Dietitians On Demand as their employer in 2022, with all our hearts, we thank you for choosing to work for Dietitians On Demand.
