Registered Dietitian

32-40 hours per week | Starting ASAP for up to 3 months
450-bed acute care hospital
Travel/Mileage may be offered depending on location
Experience: ICU and nutrition support experience required
Preferred schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with rotating Saturdays. Saturdays are usually 9am -2:30pm
Clinical duties only // ICU, oncology, cardiac, consults, nutrition screening, nutrition education. Must be comfortable with TPN.

Memphis, TN is located on the Mississippi River in southwest Tennessee, famous for the blues, soul and rock ‘n’ roll that originated there. This is a perfect position for a Tennessee licensed dietitian who is looking for an exciting full-time acute care opportunity.

Key Duties

• Conducts a nutrition assessment for patients at nutritional risk per facility policies and procedures
• Develops and implements an individualized plan for nutrition intervention based on nutrition assessment and evidence-based standards
• Assess educational needs and provide nutrition counseling for individuals and groups
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in meetings and/or rounds
• Experience with electronic charting, the Nutrition Care Process and writing PES statements to provide appropriate documentation for the plan of care
• Works cooperatively with food service staff to ensure conformance to diet prescriptions
• Demonstrates accountability for the proper use of patients’ protected health information
• Ability to perform work independently with minimal training

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Current Registered Dietitian credentialed by CDR
• Tennessee state dietitian license is required prior to starting position
