Onboarding process
Before you can start your position, you will be asked to complete certain health screens. There may be unique items that our client requires. If you do not have these items in your personal health records, we will provide you with registrations to get them completed. We will reimburse you for any out-of-pocket screenings.
Our standard onboarding requirements include:
- 10-Panel Drug screen within 12 months
- Background check
Commonly requested screenings:
- TB/PPD test within 12 months
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella titers or 2 vaccines of each
- Hep B vaccine
- COVID vaccine or approved exemption
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption (Oct-March)
- Physical within 12 months
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years

Next steps
Your start date is dependent upon completion of your onboarding paperwork and onsite requirements. This part is time sensitive, let the onboarding team know the best way to communicate with you during this time.
You will receive first day instructions once you have been cleared to start your assignment.

Submitting your time card
Dietitians On Demand pays you for the hours you have worked, as documented on your time card. You can start entering your hours in your employee portal starting on your first day. We recommend entering your time on a daily basis to ensure accuracy of your hours. Time cards are due biweekly, every Saturday and you will be paid biweekly following the pay schedule below.

How do I view my pay stub?
You can find your tax forms and pay stubs in your Dominion Payroll portal. This is also where you login to edit your payroll information and change your address.
ZayZoon: Access your pay on-demand
We have a new exciting benefit available to you! We’ve partnered with ZayZoon to give you instant access to your wages ahead of payday. You can take a portion of your paycheck, whenever you want. Find relief from payday loans, overdraft fees, and late bill payments.

Nutrition Care Manual access
While on your assignment, you will have access to the Nutrition Care Manual. Within your first week, you will receive an email with further details once you’ve been added to our account. The username will be your email address and the password is: diet
As a reminder:
- There may be up to a 72 hour delay in activating your account. If you attempt to log in and receive an error message, please try again later. If you need immediate access, please contact your Regional Account Manager.
- Initially, your username is set to your email address, and the password is: diet. Please make sure to change this upon your initial login.
- Dietitians On Demand has a limited number of subscriptions for employees to be able to log in at the same time. If you try to log in and it is currently unavailable, simply try again in a few minutes.
- Keep all username and password information confidential.
- Your user subscription will only be valid for the period of time that you are an active employee (currently on an assignment) of Dietitians On Demand.

If you need a refresher before starting your next assignment, we are now offering free clinical competency resources, featuring programs to bring you up to speed on acute care, long-term care, nutrition support, and more. You can work at your own pace and complete as many or as few as you like. We even created quizzes designed to test your knowledge and boost your confidence before your first day on the job. Free continuing education credit
You will receive a monthly $100 coupon code while you are working for us. This code can be used on any CPEU item in our shop. The code will change monthly and you will be notified by text and in your monthly employee newsletter. Has your assignment ended?
Once your assignment has ended, don’t forget to complete your last time timecard and remember to add any expenses. You can expect several messages from your Regional Account Manager while you are between assignments which will include a reminder for our referral program.
Keep an eye on our job board
When you are interested in your next assignment, look at our job board (save this link!) to see what interests you and then reach out to your Regional Account Manager, who can help direct you from there.
Has anything changed?
Please contact [email protected] of any change in address, phone, email so that you are always up to date on current jobs. Keep your files updated to be ready to go for your next assignment. For example: resume, PPD, flu shot, etc.
