Dietitians On Demand (DOD) values and respects your privacy. This privacy policy aims to give you information on how DOD collects and processes your personal data through your use of this website and in your other dealings with us, including any data you may provide through this website when you sign up to our newsletter, purchase a product or service, take part in a competition, send us queries or communications, post reviews about us online or register for a webinar. If you choose, you can visit dietitiansondemand.com without providing us with any information about yourself.
Types of information we collect
Dietitians On Demand, LLC aims to provide dietitians and nutrition professionals with a positive online experience. To enhance your experience with us, we may collect information about you such as, your name, email address, city and state of residence, practice setting, and interests, as they relate to the world of dietetics.
When you fill out any of our Web forms you generally may have to submit your e-mail address, name or other personal information. The information collected from you will not be distributed or shared with any third parties. The information you provide us will be kept confidential within the DOD database.
We may collect certain non-personally identifiable information about you when you visit our site, such as the type of browser you are using the type of operating system you are using, the referring site from which you came (e.g., a partner site), and the domain name of your internet service provider.
How we use information
We use the non-personally identifiable information that we collect in the aggregate to improve the design and content of our site so that you can have a better experience. We also use this information to analyze site usage.
To help make our sites more responsive to the needs of our visitors, we may invoke a standard feature of browser software, called a “cookie,” to assign each visitor a unique, random number, a sort of user ID, if you will, that resides on your computer. (Sorry, this cookie doesn’t include chocolate chips.) The cookie doesn’t actually identify the visitor, just the computer that a visitor uses to access our site. Unless you voluntarily identify yourself (through a form, for example), we won’t know who you are, even if we assign a cookie to your computer. The only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply. Just like cookies that come out of an oven, a computer cookie can’t read data off your hard drive.
Dietitians On Demand, LLC never shares or sells your information with any third-party organization. In general, we use your information to share with you jobs or resources that may interest you.
**All the above excludes text messaging originator consent and opt-in data; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your information’s security
A secure server is used when you submit your information. This is indicated by checking in the top of the browser where you would type in a URL. Inside the URL bar to the left of the domain you will see a padlock, and the website will also begin https:// rather than http:// The secure server software, SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us.
Changes to our privacy policy
If any changes are made to our privacy policy it will be posted on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
Please note, this policy does not detail how social media platforms may collect, store, use, and share your personal information.
