The climb continues
Dietitians On Demand moves up 266 spots, ranks as #1088 on Inc. 5000 list
By Heidi Williams, Dietitians On Demand
For a third consecutive year Dietitians On Demand climbs the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest growing private companies. The company’s three-year growth came to 354 percent this year. One look around the buzzing office and you’ll see the success in action. This year Dietitians On Demand added several hires internally and created two new roles, including mid-level management.
Company president Ryan Davis said, “We really appreciate the Inc. lists because they are a benchmark for us as we keep up this multi year phase of growth. Since first appearing in 2014 we have jumped up over 2500 spots, or over half of the Inc. 5000 list overall.”
Among other changes in the past year are new branding initiatives including a revised logo and website. These changes contributed to landing new national contracts and therefore the ability to hire more dietitians nationwide.
“We’ve been able to develop relationships with several globally recognized food service companies, who happen to be among the largest employers of dietitians. We help them with their staffing struggles and they help us out by getting us into new areas of the country that might have taken us a while to break into,” Davis said.
The growth isn’t just internal. In the past few months Dietitians On Demand has continuously outdone itself in billable hours, a measure of how many dietitians are working in the field and reporting time that is used to generate revenue. The company now boasts over 140 field dietitians working weekly in accounts nationwide.
“I went from being the sole recruiter to managing a staff of four recruiters in a matter of two years. Our recruiters have a constant flow of new job openings and every day brings exciting opportunities for growth,” said Kathleen Dracos, Dietitians On Demand’s first employee.
Dracos has been with the company since 2007 when it was a two-person operation and last year was promoted to Director of Operations. This year, another mid-level management position was added. Raleigh Hobson was hired on as the company’s Director of Business Development.
“We’ve been doing this for 11 years but up until recently we were still a pretty small team. These last three years we’ve really been able to expand the corporate office which has allowed us to focus on becoming better at what we do,” Ryan said.
Dietitians On Demand expanded its travel program in 2016, too, and now has 12 dietitians working outside of their home-base cities.
“I recently calculated that our dietitians will have over 250,000 patient encounters in 2016. It really makes us feel great to be impacting so many lives in a positive manner and to be a driving force towards helping people live happier, healthier lives.”
