Registered Dietitian

Starting at $40 per hour
40 Hours/week | Start ASAP – 7/29/24, with possibility to extend
Outpatient clinic
Outpatient or acute care experience required
9 AM – 5:30 PM, weekday
Outpatient clinic; MNT includes bariatric, diabetes, weight management, cardiac rehab/pulmonary rehab
2-6 appointments per day; 1 hour initial, 30 minute follow up 

This full-time outpatient role is perfect for someone looking for a slower paced job this summer. This position offers ample time to spend with patients and charting, a private office and no insurance billing! If you are not certified in CT yet, no worries! DOD will cover this expense and you can start the position with this application pending.

Key Duties

• Provide personalized nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy for various medical conditions specifically bariatrics, diabetes, etc.
• Assess and provide recommendations for patients ages pediatric, adult, older adult
• Utilize behavior modification strategies and techniques to optimal nutrition counseling
• Evaluate achievement of learning objectives and provide appropriate treatment plan in accordance with patient goals
• Utilize nutrition-related information systems and/or patient medical record systems to successfully document recommendations and progress
• Demonstrates accountability for the proper use of patients’ protected health information
• Ability to perform work independently with minimal training

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Current Registered Dietitian credentialed by CDR
• Connecticut state dietitian license, can start with this pending
